Houston area designers and artists have created magnificient art bras that speak of joy, hope, strength and healing in the many cultures and ages of women affected by breast cancer. The BRA-vissima collection benefits the Pink Ribbon House® and the research, treatment and patient cared offered at The Lester and Sue Smith Breast Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine. These bras will be available for viewing at the Bering & James Art Gallery starting October 1st. Please stop by at some point and check them out! I’ve got one there and here’s a little preview

This beautiful pencil and graphite work caught my eye. HelloVon has a show that opened this past weekend in Culver City. For more information check out this website.

I have a friend that went to work at Odopod about a year ago, so I’ve paid attention to this firm and what he’s been up to. They have created this totally fun drawing application called Odosketch that you must check out when you have time to play. Created from flash, it allows you to draw and it even tracks your drawings from being to end. Super cool!

This is what our house looked like the day we bought it in March of 2005

This is what it looks like as of September 2009… it is finally shaping up!

Even my office got a bit of a makeover

** And as an update, thought I would show a bit of the backyard transformation:
How the backyard looked in 2005:

And how the backyard looks today

These are some amazingly yummie paintings by Alex Kanevsky. DesignMilk posted work from him recently and WOW am I glad they did! I seem to always be drawn to such expressive and loose work, perhaps because that is *not* my forté!
